A babysitter is wanted in Gentryville for two elementary age boys. This would be one night per week and every other Saturday during the day. Please text or leave a message,  if interested, to Mindy at 812-255-3541. 


If you are a young man in grade 9, 10 or 11, and you did not play football this year, but you are committed to playing football next year: You need to see Coach Wilkerson on or before Friday,November 16th to discuss what the 

expectations and requirements are to play football in 2019 for the defending PAC Champions.

Holiday Ball will be on December 14th. Also, Student Council members, please remember to pick up your t-shirts and turn in your money. 


During lunch all students who scored a SRI Lexile at the proficient or advanced level will receive a sundae.  A list of names will be provided in English classes.  Enjoy!


Students registered to take the SAT on Saturday, Nov. 3 at Heritage Hills are reminded that the doors open at 7:15 CST and the test starts at 8:00. The SAT ends atnoon, while the SAT with Essay ends around 12:45. Report to the cafeteria for check-in with the admission ticket and a photo ID. No one may test without these two items – no exceptions. Students should not bring into the school cell phones or any wearable technology, as it will be collected at the door. Students with questions should ask Mrs. Wilmes immediately – do not wait until Saturday morning, as computers for printing admission tickets will NOT be available. Testers should also bring two SHARPENED pencils and a calculator. Students may pick up a practice booklet in guidance or check their College Board account for practice and test taking tips. The Guidance link on the school website also has helpful practice information.


Student Council members need to pick up and pay for their t-shirts. They are in Mr. Mauck’s room. 


Our Fall Blood Drive will be Thursday November 15.  The sign-up sheet is in Mrs. Hawkins office.  There will be a drawing for a $25.00 gift card to Stone Ridge for all students that donate blood (you must donate not just sign up to enter the drawing).

Youth grades K-12 are invited to join the long tradition of Spencer County 4-H.  They offer over 100 activities throughout the year. Heritage Hills will host a financial aid meeting on Thursday, November 8 at 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium.  Seniors and parents will learn the process for completing the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) and for securing loans.  It is recommended that ALL students who hope to attend college file the FAFSA, regardless of family income, since some scholarships require its completion. Families can begin filing as of October 1, based on 2017 income. This meeting is to provide information and support to parents.  To submit the FAFSA, go online to and select the 2019-2020 FAFSA. Ask a counselor for more information.
