To kick off 2017 right…The IU Foundation (IUF) and IU Alumni Association (IUAA) would like to make you aware of scholarship opportunities available for your students who have been accepted to Indiana University (IU). You can find a complete listing of scholarships available and other useful information from the IUF or from the IUAA. Please share this and the following information with your graduating students who are interested in attending any IU campus and applying for scholarships. WE encourage all students to apply!

 

Here are step by step instructions for the Online Scholarship Application:

1.    Go to One.iu.edu and log-in using your network log-in

2.    Enter the keyword “scholarships” in the search bar.

3.   Click on the “Scholarships” icon.

To support local Latino students in their educational goals at USI.

The Abraham Brown Scholarship provides 10 students per academic year with $2,000 of tuition assistance for a maximum of 4 years.  Abraham Brown is a local business owner and leader in the Latino community. Brown has partnered with other local businesses and the USI Foundation to provide funding for these scholarships to support local Latino students in their educational goals at USI.

High school seniors who meet the following criteria are eligible to apply for the Abraham Brown Scholarship:

+Admission to the University of Southern Indiana Have a 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale after the 6th semester of high school (end of junior year).

We are now accepting nominations for the Gongaware Scholarship at Indiana State University. The Gongaware Scholarship is for students interested in studying risk management and insurance or financial services. The scholarship is one of the top awards at the University and offers the scholarship as well as mentoring, internship, and networking opportunities.

Eligible students must meet at least two of the three following qualifications:
     Earn a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale
     Achieve a ranking in the top 15 percent of their high school        graduating class
     1140 SAT (Evidence-Based Reading and Writing and Math) or      23 ACT

Harolyn Torain Multicultural Leadership Scholarship

The Harolyn Torain Multicultural Leadership Scholarship is designed to provide comprehensive support to students who demonstrate academic achievement and leadership in diverse organizations, environments, and leadership capacity for civic engagement and within the 21st century workplace. The program offers a $5,000 academic year award ($2,500 for fall semester and $2,500 for spring semester). Additionally, recipients will participate in an Inclusive Excellence Program will include various leadership, community service and cultural experiences throughout the academic year. Any high school senior who meets the following criteria is eligible to apply for the Harolyn Torain Multicultural Leadership Scholarship: 

             Admission to the University of Southern Indiana

  • Have a 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale after the 6th semester of high school (end of junior year)
  • Have demonstrated leadership in multicultural school or community activities or organizations
  • Meet all scholarship application deadlines.

Harolyn Torain Multicultural Leadership Scholarship

The Harolyn Torain Multicultural Leadership Scholarship is designed to provide comprehensive support to students who demonstrate academic achievement and leadership in diverse organizations, environments, and leadership capacity for civic engagement and within the 21st century workplace. The program offers a $5,000 academic year award ($2,500 for fall semester and $2,500 for spring semester). Additionally, recipients will participate in an Inclusive Excellence Program will include various leadership, community service and cultural experiences throughout the academic year. Any high school senior who meets the following criteria is eligible to apply for the Harolyn Torain Multicultural Leadership Scholarship: 

             Admission to the University of Southern Indiana

  • Have a 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale after the 6th semester of high school (end of junior year)
  • Have demonstrated leadership in multicultural school or community activities or organizations
  • Meet all scholarship application deadlines.
