The Family Fishing Derby being sponsored by the FFA is this Saturday.  This event is open to all students, parents and community members.  Prizes will be awarded for each category!  Fish by yourself or as a part of up to a 4 member team.  Check-in behind the Agriculture building on Saturday from 2:00 to 3:00.

Indianapolis Colts Fan Fest   May 23  5-7pm at Memorial Gym Malik Hooker and TY Hilton as well as colts cheerleaders will be in attendance. We ask that fans line our 4th street dressed in colts gear and follow the buses to the gym for autographs, photos, live music, free Colts giveaways, Colts interactive inflatables, mobile Colts Pro Shop, test your skills in the Play 60 Zone, and Colts in Motion, the teams traveling museum. We hope to see everyone there.

Seniors, if you wish to purchase your Chromebook for $20, you can now pick up purchase forms in the office or the IT department.  You will be purchasing the device and charger "AS IS".  Chromebook cases are NOT included.  Please bring the signed purchase form and $20 payment to the front office, along with your cleaned out case.  Office staff will collect payment and the cleaned out Chromebook case.

Memorial Hospital/Health Care Center and Vincennes University/Jasper Campus are hosting a daytime summer camp on July 25, 26, 27 for students who will be sophomores, juniors, and seniors in the Fall of 2018.  If you have an interest in professions within the healthcare industry, this is the camp for you. Stop by the HHHS Guidance Office to pick up an application. The deadline is June 4, 2018. Cost is $30.00

JUNIOR boys are invited to attend Boys State, to be held this summer at Trine University in Angola, Indiana from June 17-23. Boys who are in the top 1/2 of their class are eligible to apply. It is paid for by the local American Legion. Boys State is a unique summertime educational program that is designed to mirror the structure and operation of the Indiana state government, while providing training in practical citizenship, leadership and character development. Some past attendees include Mitch Daniels, Richard Lugar, Astronaut Neil Armstrong, Bill Clinton, Newscaster Tom Brokaw and Michael Jordan. Students interested in government, history, political science, law enforcement or the military may be especially interested. It is a very prestigious program. The $300 fee is paid by a local organization.   • Are you looking to enter the workforce after graduation, we are looking for summer help right now?  It would be a good opportunity for you to “try out manufacturing”. If you like it and perform well, you will have a chance to get hired on full time, as we are always looking for good qualified workers.   We are looking to start our summer help by the end of May/beginning of June and ask that you remain working with us until the beginning of August.  Pay will be $12/hour.  The summer help will rotate to multiple positions in production.  Start time is 6:00am (Eastern), stop time varies from 2:20pm to 4:20pm normally, depending on hours scheduled.  There will be weeks overtime will be worked, including some Saturday mornings. If you are interested, go to www.kimball.com, click on careers and then enter the requisition#18-235 in the search box.

This Saturday, the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra has invited the HH Choir to perform with them at Lincoln Amphitheater for a John Williams Tribute Concert.  Who is John Williams? He composed many classic movie scores such as Harry Potter, Jurassic Park, Jaws, Saving Private Ryan. Superman, and E.T.  You are sure to enjoy this fun-filled concert along with some Patriotic favorites.  Pre-Show, provided by the HH Middle School choir, begins at 6:30. Regardless of a student’s plans after high school, this program has something for everyone. It is imperative that each student and a parent or guardian attend. Attendance prizes will be awarded and helpful materials provided. Ask a counselor if questions.
Any boy who is interested in trying out for the golf team needs to sign up in the office.
Students who have not yet completed the form that allows you to be published in the yearbook need to do so as soon as possible.  Parents need to fill out the online paperwork on their Harmony account.   If not your picture will not be in the yearbook. 
 
SENIORS: Now is the time to file the FAFSA – “Free Application for Federal Student Aid” to get assistance to pay for college. The new deadline for state aid is April 15, 2018, however early filing allows families more time to receive and evaluate their financial aid package.  Go to www.fafsa.gov.

SENIORS: Now is the time to file the FAFSA – “Free Application for Federal Student Aid” to get assistance to pay for college. The new deadline for state aid is April 15, 2018, however early filing allows families more time to receive and evaluate their financial aid package.  Go to www.fafsa.gov.

Attention JUNIOR BOYS: You are invited to attend Boys State, to be held this summer at Trine University in Angola, Indiana from June 17-23. It is paid for by the local American Legion. Boys State is a unique summertime educational program that is designed to mirror the structure and operation of the Indiana state government, while providing training in practical citizenship, leadership and character development. Some past attendees include our former Governor Mitch Daniels, Senator Lugar, Astronaut Neil Armstrong, President Clinton, Newscaster Tom Brokaw and Basketball player Michael Jordan. FFA Night Meeting January 26th 
The Guidance Department at HHHS will be hosting an informational session for the Class of 2019 and their parents on Monday, January 29, 2018 at 6:30 p.m CST in the auditorium.“Senior Year 101” will provide important information for the Juniors as they prepare for their senior year and for life after high school. Regardless of a student’s plans after high school, this program has something for everyone. It is imperative that each student and a parent or guardian attend. Attendance prizes will be awarded and helpful materials provided. Ask a counselor if questions.
