Meagan Kralj will sign a College Letter of Intent to play Softball at Rend Lake College on Friday, February, 23rd.  The ceremony will be held in the Heritage Hills High School Library at 12:45 pm CST.  Media, family, and friends are invited!

Beta Club will meet on Friday at 7:20 in the auditorium. All members should attend.

Congratulations!  The senior class won the winter spirit night competition.  If you attended and signed in to at least one of the spirit night competitions, you are eligible to partake in the ice cream celebration.  It will be held next Friday, March 2, during both lunches.  The Class of 2018 has SPIRIT!

Student council will be selling Patriot Strong bracelets for $1 and collecting $1 each day to participate in dress up days!  All proceeds will benefit Patriot families fighting cancer.  Let’s all come together and support a cause close to our hearts!

Today is the Open House which will be during lunch. All HH staff and FFA members are welcomed to the event. The District X  Dodgeball tournament will be after school, all FFA members are encouraged to attend.

Young Women LEAD Participants, Mark your calendars: On Wednesday, March 7, we will meet by the flagpole in front of the high school at 7:00 am to travel to Jasper. The buses will return to Heritage Hills by about 1:30.  All attendees MUST ride the provided school bus to this event. This is a day not counted against attendance, but students are responsible for missed schoolwork.  Money will not be needed. Girls are reminded to complete the required liability form on the website for the conference. Girls will turn in their own form at VUJC. See Mrs. Wilmes if questions.

Last day HHDM is sponsoring the “Tutu for $22” Fundraiser! EVERYONE (staff and students) is invited to wear a Tutu and bring in $22 for Riley’s Children’s Hospital. Cash and checks made out to “Heritage Hills Dance Marathon” should be brought to Mrs. Johnson or you can sign up for Team Raiser during both lunches to raise money online. Even if you don’t have a tutu, order one, or bring in money anyway! Have school spirit, have fun, and help kids who need it!

Memorial Hospital/Health Care Center and Vincennes University/Jasper Campus are hosting a daytime summer camp on July 25, 26, 27 for students who will be sophomores, juniors, and seniors in the Fall of 2018.  If you have an interest in professions within the healthcare industry, this is the camp for you. Stop by the HHHS Guidance Office to pick up an application. The deadline is June 4, 2018. Cost is $30.00

Seniors need to have their senior pictures in by spring break or we will be putting the school picture they took on picture day instead? They need to send them to the yearbook email or Ms. Gasaway's email. 

FOR JUNIOR AND SENIOR GIRLS: Do you hope to go to prom but are not sure you can afford a dress? “Cinderella’s Closet” in Owensboro provides young women the opportunity to obtain a dress and accessories free of charge.  A school referral and an appointment to visit “Cinderella’s Closet” at Owensboro Christian Church on Saturday, March 17  is all that is necessary.  See Mrs. Wilmes for a referral and more information. This Saturday, the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra has invited the HH Choir to perform with them at Lincoln Amphitheater for a John Williams Tribute Concert.  Who is John Williams? He composed many classic movie scores such as Harry Potter, Jurassic Park, Jaws, Saving Private Ryan. Superman, and E.T.  You are sure to enjoy this fun-filled concert along with some Patriotic favorites.  Pre-Show, provided by the HH Middle School choir, begins at 6:30. Next Generation Hoosier Educators Scholarship--

This scholarship provides 200 high-achieving high school and college students interested in pursuing a career in education the opportunity to earn a renewable scholarship of up to $7,500 each year for four academic years. In exchange, students agree to teach for five years at an eligible Indiana school.  Applications are due by 11:59pm EST on November 30, 2017. The application opens on September 1, 2017

Attention JUNIOR BOYS: You are invited to attend Boys State, to be held this summer at Trine University in Angola, Indiana from June 17-23. It is paid for by the local American Legion. Boys State is a unique summertime educational program that is designed to mirror the structure and operation of the Indiana state government, while providing training in practical citizenship, leadership and character development. Some past attendees include our former Governor Mitch Daniels, Senator Lugar, Astronaut Neil Armstrong, President Clinton, Newscaster Tom Brokaw and Basketball player Michael Jordan. This FRIDAY, January 26, there will be an informational session for Junior boys about this program and for application procedures in the auditorium during resource period. The Guidance Department at HHHS will be hosting an informational session for the Class of 2019 and their parents on Monday, January 29, 2018 at 6:30 p.m CST in the auditorium.“Senior Year 101” will provide important information for the Juniors as they prepare for their senior year and for life after high school. Regardless of a student’s plans after high school, this program has something for everyone. It is imperative that each student and a parent or guardian attend. Attendance prizes will be awarded and helpful materials provided. Ask a counselor if questions.
Any boy who is interested in trying out for the golf team needs to sign up in the office.

FFA Night Meeting January 26th 
The Guidance Department at HHHS will be hosting an informational session for the Class of 2019 and their parents on Monday, January 29, 2018 at 6:30 p.m CST in the auditorium.“Senior Year 101” will provide important information for the Juniors as they prepare for their senior year and for life after high school. Regardless of a student’s plans after high school, this program has something for everyone. It is imperative that each student and a parent or guardian attend. Attendance prizes will be awarded and helpful materials provided. Ask a counselor if questions.
Any boy who is interested in trying out for the golf team needs to sign up in the office.
Students who have not yet completed the form that allows you to be published in the yearbook need to do so as soon as possible.  Parents need to fill out the online paperwork on their Harmony account.   If not your picture will not be in the yearbook. 
 
SENIORS: Now is the time to file the FAFSA – “Free Application for Federal Student Aid” to get assistance to pay for college. The new deadline for state aid is April 15, 2018, however early filing allows families more time to receive and evaluate their financial aid package.  Go to www.fafsa.gov.

Read through the available scholarships to find the ones to fit you. If you have any questions or concerns, please stop by the Guidance office.
