Seniors have been invited to attend a Career and Technology Expo on Wednesday, April 12.  In order to attend, you must turn in a permission note to the front office by Friday, April 7.  More information about the expo has been sent to your email.  This is a great opportunity to find out about careers and current job openings in our area!

Class officers for  2017-2018, please turn in your signed Class Officer Regulations to your next year sponsor.  This was given to you on Monday and is due Friday.

The Engineer students just completed a very in-depth project and some of the top projects are on display in the library.  Students had to reverse engineer a movable item and draw all parts in their CAD program then learn how all parts interacted and worked together.  Check out the displays....they did a great job. Juniors and Seniors it's time to sign up for After Prom tournament games!!! Sign up during both lunches, Wednesday, March 22 and Thursday, March 23. The tournaments are Water Pong, Ping Pong, and Corn Hole. You can also sign up for the raffle to have your caricature sketches. After Prom is going to be a sweet celebration in Candy Land!

There is a blood drive at the High School on April 12 from 7:15-12:15.  You can sign up on the nurse’s office today.

The boys basketball banquet will be held in the high school cafeteria on Monday, April 3rd beginning at 6pm CST.

Today is the last day to purchase Patriot gear from the Beta Club. There are several styles and colors, so if you are needing to spruce up your gear for spring, stop by our table at lunch and check your options. There will be a representative at both lunches today, or you can drop your order and money by Mrs. Johnson's room.

We need high students to volunteer at David Turnham's annual Spring Fling on Saturday, April 22nd.  We need students to work games, face paint, and help with bounce houses.  Email Mrs. Keller if you're interested. lkeller@nspencer.k12.in.us

Winter Percussion Ensemble had their state prelims competition this weekend at Decatur Central High School. The group performed very well and qualified for the state finals competition on April 1st!

Girls' Basketball will be meeting during resource period Friday in the commons area.

The Spencer County Rabies Clinic will be open starting on April 4th.  For more information on times and location you can stop by and office.

Any FFA member interested in participating in the State Welding contest on April 3 or 4th, should see Mr. Steinmetz this week.

March is Disability Awareness Month. This year's theme is "I'm Not Your Inspiration." The 2017 Awareness Month campaign shows that people with disabilities are not an inspiring or brave just because they have disabilities. They are co-workers, classmates and neighbors who want to be fully included in their communities, just like everyone else.

Attention Seniors! Indiana financial aid filing  (FASFA) deadline extended to April 15, 2017 Indiana’s March 10th financial aid filing deadline will be extended to April 15th this year in response to recent issues with a federal data retrieval tool that complicated the process for families attempting to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Visit  https://fafsa.ed.gov/  to file your FASFA

Anderson Woods Summer Camp has a summer employment opportunity.  They are needing to fill 8 counselor positions for the season.  Must be at least 16 years old. Junior and Senior 21st Century Scholars: Heritage Hills is taking a bus to Vincennes University Jasper Campus on Wednesday, April 19 for a VUJC Preview Day Program. The program consists of discussion about admission and financial aid, college majors and programs of study and a tour of the campus. Lunch is provided. Cost is free. The school bus will leave HH at 8:00 and return in time for 6th period. This day is no counted against attendance. Scholars are required to visit a college campus. SIGN UP by seeing or emailing Mrs. Wilmes soon. 

Heritage Hills is an SAT test center on Saturday, May 6; the deadline to register is April 7. This is an excellent test date for college bound Juniors and sophomores. Go to www.sat.register. Ask a counselor if questions about the test or how to register!‚Äč

The Purdue research farm near Patoka Lake is having a field day on September 10th.  Topics include Tilapia production and cattle equipment and handling.  A free meal will be served as well.  For more information see Mr. Steinmetz - reservations required by September 6th.

Student Council meeting is tomorrow! They happen every first Thursday of the month. This one has really snuck up on us. Please be present at 7:30 to discuss Football Homecoming in Mr. Mauck's room 225.

We have an addition to our Spirit Night competitions this year.  There will be an individual winner each night.  Sometimes you may have to register to win; other times you may have to dress up or simply show the most spirit!  One more level to the "We Are....Spirited".  

 

 Sophomore Girls...Powder Puff practice will be every Tuesday and Thursday after school until 4:30.  Please be ready to start by 3:15 and meet in Room 126.  Bring plenty of water!!!  Your coach is Mr. Rosario.
