Caleb Keller will sign a College Letter of Intent to play Football at Kentucky Christian University today.  The ceremony will be held in the Heritage Hills High School Library at noon CST.  Media, family, and friends are invited!

Meagan Kralj will sign a College Letter of Intent to play Softball at Rend Lake College on Friday, February, 23rd.  The ceremony will be held in the Heritage Hills High School Library at 12:45 pm CST.  Media, family, and friends are invited!

Congratulations!  The senior class won the winter spirit night competition.  If you attended and signed in to at least one of the spirit night competitions, you are eligible to partake in the ice cream celebration.  It will be held next Friday, March 2, during both lunches.  The Class of 2018 has SPIRIT!

Today the much anticipated Sunflower Seed Spitting Contest is during both lunches, come and see who can spit a sunflower seed the farthest to win a subway gift card.  

National FFA week continues tomorrow, Thursday the 22nd, Emblem Trivia and Guess the yields will continue but tomorrow is the last day for both. Also tomorrow is the Open House which will be during lunch. All HH staff and FFA members are welcomed to the event. The District X  Dodgeball tournament will be after school, all FFA members are encouraged to attend.

Young Women LEAD Participants, Mark your calendars: On Wednesday, March 7, we will meet by the flagpole in front of the high school at 7:00 am to travel to Jasper. The buses will return to Heritage Hills by about 1:30.  All attendees MUST ride the provided school bus to this event. This is a day not counted against attendance, but students are responsible for missed schoolwork.  Money will not be needed. Girls are reminded to complete the required liability form on the website for the conference. Girls will turn in their own form at VUJC. See Mrs. Wilmes if questions.

If you would like to purchase a tutu, Mrs. Johnson has 6 small/mediums and 6 medium/larges. They are $6. Please see her if you are interested in purchasing one for Thursday's event.

Just a friendly reminder… On Thursday February 22, HHDM is sponsoring the “Tutu for $22” Fundraiser! EVERYONE (staff and students) is invited to wear a Tutu and bring in $22 for Riley’s Children’s Hospital. Cash and checks made out to “Heritage Hills Dance Marathon” should be brought to Mrs. Johnson on the 22nd, or you can sign up for Team Raiser during both lunches to raise money online. Even if you don’t have a tutu, order one, or bring in money anyway! Have school spirit, have fun, and help kids who need it!

Beta Club will meet on Friday at 7:20 in the auditorium. All members should attend.

Memorial Hospital/Health Care Center and Vincennes University/Jasper Campus are hosting a daytime summer camp on July 25, 26, 27 for students who will be sophomores, juniors, and seniors in the Fall of 2018.  If you have an interest in professions within the healthcare industry, this is the camp for you. Stop by the HHHS Guidance Office to pick up an application. The deadline is June 4, 2018. Cost is $30.00

FOR JUNIOR AND SENIOR GIRLS: Do you hope to go to prom but are not sure you can afford a dress? “Cinderella’s Closet” in Owensboro provides young women the opportunity to obtain a dress and accessories free of charge.  A school referral and an appointment to visit “Cinderella’s Closet” at Owensboro Christian Church on Saturday, March 17  is all that is necessary.  See Mrs. Wilmes for a referral and more information. Young Women LEAD is a conference for high school girls focusing on Leadership, Education And Development! The program lasts a full day (8:00 CST - 2:00 CST) and has featured speakers. Topics covered include health and fitness, careers, social media, managing stress, interviewing skills, money management and many others that are informative and inspiring. The event is free, and students receive a free lunch, t-shirt, goodie bag and opportunities to win prizes. Students can register beginning at 6:30 a.m. HHHS time on MONDAY January 15 at www.youngwomenlead.com Spots will fill up quickly, so students must register promptly. The Guidance Department at HHHS will be hosting an informational session for the Class of 2019 and their parents on Monday, January 29, 2017 at 6:30 p.m CST in the auditorium.“Senior Year 101” will provide important information for the Juniors as they prepare for their senior year and for life after high school. Regardless of a student’s plans after high school, this program has something for everyone. It is imperative that each student and a parent or guardian attend. Attendance prizes will be awarded and helpful materials provided. Ask a counselor if questions.
Do you want to host an exchange student next school year? It is a wonderful experience! Debbie Scott will be available during lunches on TUESDAY to provide information for interested students to share with their parents.
Any boy who is interested in trying out for the golf team needs to sign up in the office.
The representative from Brescia University will be here at HHHS on Tuesday, January 16th.  She will be available in the Periodical room during 3rd period 10:03-10:50.  Seniors, stop by the Guidance Office to sign up if you want to attend.
