Indiana University Bloomington
To assist you in understanding both the application requirements and scholarship opportunities at IU Bloomington, here are two posters for you to look over.
IU Scholarship Opportunities
Cox Scholars Program
In addition to the information included on these posters, here is some need-to-know information:   1.  A full senior year schedule is a required component for an application to IU Bloomington. You should include this with the submission of your official high school transcript.   2. Early submission is beneficial. This includes official test scores (if applicable*) and official high school transcripts. Allow sufficient time to make requests with testing agencies and your high school office, as it does take some time for these items to be processed and received by the university.   3.  For the IU Selective Scholarship Application (SSA), you can send emails from the online application to counselors, teachers, and community members to request recommendation letters. Early submission is always beneficial to the student’s review. *Learn more about test-optional admissions at IU.   If you have any questions about the IU scholarships process, we have scholarship specialists who are available to help from Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. You can contact our office at 812-855-5779 or [email protected].

Oakland City University – Good Neighbor Scholarship

The Good Neighbor Scholarship will provide an additional level of certainty in these uncertain times by promising any admitted first-time commuting student within a 60-mile radius of campus the opportunity to attend for no more than $11,500 per year in tuition. This amount is before any qualifying state or federal student aid has been applied and is open to all students regardless of state residency if they are within a 60-mile radius of campus.

“The Good Neighbor Scholarship honors the long history Oakland City University has with educating students in the Tri-State area.  Many students who are not able to travel away for college have received a high-quality education through OCU, right here in their backyard.  The relationship with the university and the students of the Tri-State area is highly prized at OCU. This scholarship honors that relationship and makes a high-quality education in a Christian environment even more affordable.”  -OCU President, Dr. Ron Dempsey

This scholarship will be offered to support students within the university’s own backyard, promoting the school’s initiative to be a “Good Neighbor”.

‘Enter to Learn, Go Forth to Serve’ is not just the motto of Oakland City University, it is our way of life.  We have been called to be good stewards of OCU’s many blessings and we feel there is no better way to serve than to provide our local students the opportunity to receive a high quality, Christian education, close to home.” – OCU Director of Admissions, Elliott Spruell
